10 Minutes with THE HOLY SPIRIT Every Day: Money or Wisdom?

Greetings to you as we welcome you to the Online program
“10 Minutes with THE HOLY SPIRIT Every Day”.
May the HOLY SPIRIT of The LORD reveal to you the deep mysteries of HIM at this very moment.
Today’s topic raises a vital life question:
Money or Wisdom?
Based on Proverbs 15:16–17:
“Better a little with the fear of THE LORD than great wealth with turmoil…
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred,”
the WORD of GOD shows that
the fear of THE LORD is the beginning of
wisdom and knowledge,
bringing peace, holy pleasure, long life,
and even true riches in their proper meaning (Proverbs 3:13–18).
In contrast, prioritizing money apart from the fear of THE LORD
only leads to confusion, anxiety, and conflict.
Learn to “buy” wisdom, cherish it, and practice it daily,
so that true and glorious wealth may follow.

Key Points

  • The fear of THE LORD → the beginning of true wisdom and knowledge.
  • Little with the fear of THE LORD is greater than much wealth with turmoil (Proverbs 15:16–17).
  • Wisdom is more precious than money; its profit is better than refined gold (Proverbs 3:13–18).
  • The right hand of wisdom holds long life; the left holds riches and honor.
  • The ways of wisdom bring pleasure and peace; it is life to those who embrace it.

Questions & Answers (FAQ)

Why choose wisdom over money?
— Because wisdom yields returns greater than silver and gold,
accompanied by peace, long life, and honor.
What does the fear of THE LORD mean?
— It is a posture of reverence, obedience,
and placing THE LORD at the center of every decision.
How do we “buy” wisdom?
— By paying the price of time, disciplined study of the WORD,
obedience, and the willingness to abandon wrong habits.
How can we know we are choosing money over wisdom?
— When peace disappears, relationships fracture,
and the mind becomes obsessed with accumulation rather than obedience to the WORD.

Extended Reflection

1) Daily choices: Money or Wisdom?
Every day is a series of decisions.
The WORD of GOD teaches us to prioritize
the fear of THE LORD,
for it is the gateway to true wisdom.
Money separated from wisdom produces confusion and jealousy,
while wisdom produces love and peace.
2) The benefits of wisdom (Proverbs 3:13–18)
Wisdom is more precious than treasures;
its gain surpasses gold.
In her right hand is long life,
and in her left are riches and honor.
All her paths are pleasant,
and all her ways are peace;
wisdom is life to those who hold fast to it.
3) Comparison: Much wealth, yet turmoil
Unrighteous wealth, accumulated through a lifestyle contrary to the WORD,
produces anxiety, conflict, and collapse.
The Gospel remains open:
repent, make restitution, believe in JESUS CHRIST
→ righteousness, peace, and joy will follow.
4) Practice: “Buying” wisdom every day
  1. Fear THE LORD:
begin and end the day with prayer and meditation on the WORD.
  2. Prioritize peace and love:
choose “a meal of vegetables with love”
over “a fattened calf with hatred.”
  3. Discipline:
    follow a Bible reading schedule,
take notes, and apply one truth each day.
  4. Fellowship:
walk with an “iron sharpens iron” group
to remain grounded in the TRUTH.
  5. Generosity:
use money according to the purposes of the KINGDOM of GOD,
    and money will follow wisdom.
